High-End Systems

ServerIron high-end systems are designed to meet performance, density and scalability demands in data centers with growing traffic. Two families of ServerIron 350, 450 and 850 systems provide a choice of performance, integrated SSL acceleration and fully customizable port connectivity, including future migration to 10 GbE application delivery. Choice of three form factors allows the data center to be optimized for size, expansion and scalability. The 2RU high ServerIron 350 switch is ideal for the space-constrained data centers, whereas the industry's most scalable ServerIron 850 model is suited for large server farms with connectivity for up to 112 Gigabit servers. The ServerIron 350, 450 and 850 switches combine a rich set of application traffic management, Web acceleration, and VoIP/SIP intelligence to deliver maximum availability, security and scalability for business-critical applications and server farms in enterprise and service provider data centers.

 

Mid-Range Systems

Foundry's mid-range ServerIron families leverage the advanced technology of high-end systems to deliver mid-range performance and modularity for future expandability and performance upgradeability. Mid-range ServerIron systems are available as convenient turn-key appliances with pre-equipped ports and application traffic management modules in two form factors – ServerIronGT C Series switches in 2RU chassis and ServerIronGT E Series switches in 5RU fully front serviceable and highly expandable chassis. These systems offer the broadest choice feature, performance and port-configuration, including integrated SSL acceleration options, to meet the diverse needs of small- and mid-sized enterprises. The ServerIronGT series pack features traditionally available only in high-end systems, including data center class resiliency, expandability and performance upgradeability to meet current and future business needs without forklift upgrades.

 

Fixed Systems

The ServerIron fixed configuration systems are designed for entry-level performance demands of small- and mid-sized enterprise data centers, and small content and service provider networks. These systems offers many essential and advanced application traffic management features at the industry's best entry price, and are ideally suited for Gigabit and 10/100 Ethernet server farms with entry-level performance needs. Designed with a network-centric architecture, these switches support many resiliency and redundancy features unavailable in traditional appliances in this class.
